Beacon Invicta Youth Project is a community youth project based in Gravesend and Northfleet, supporting children and young people across Gravesham and surrounding areas.
We mainly work with referred young people aged 7-16 who would benefit from early support with issues such as low confidence, social difficulties, anxiety, isolation, school disengagement or emerging behavioural challenges.
Through one-to-one mentoring, our weekly youth group and community-based activities, we provide safe, positive opportunities for young people to build confidence, develop friendships, improve wellbeing and feel more connected to their community.
Our approach is based on early intervention - offering support before difficulties become more serious or a young person requires more specialist services. Mentoring is relationship-based and gives young people regular time with a consistent, trusted adult who can listen, encourage and help them work towards their own goals.
Beacon Invicta was founded from more than 14 years of experience supporting young people across Kent.
Our staff and volunteers complete appropriate safeguarding and role-specific training, and those working directly with young people are subject to enhanced DBS checks.
⭐ Feedback from Beacon’s youth work
“My child loves his weekly mentoring sessions. I have seen a massive improvement in how he is in himself, his confidence has grown hugely, and his behaviour at school has improved. The bond he has built with his mentor is amazing.”

“I just wanted to thank you for all the work you have been doing with J. He really enjoys seeing you in and out of school, and I’m glad he is building up a relationship of trust with another adult.”

“You did an amazing job helping both of us through a difficult period - you were the perfect role model he needed to set him on the right path through life. I wish every young lad could have a Matthew in their lives.”
